Daniel Douek was born and raised in Argentina and had wanted to direct this show for years (he originally asked me in 2020, but the show was cancelled due to the pandemic). He approached the production process with a restless passionate zeal that was extremely contagious. We decided to go with a highly saturated style influenced by the production design in Warren Beatty's Dick Tracy, along with big kinetic moments that were timed with the choreography.
