Chess

For this design I did my best to ignore the text's obsession with hotel room interiors to try and produce a more abstract representation of the power dynamics present in the scenes. Representing the different characters as chess pieces may be the obvious move, but as I remarked in another one of these blurbs: Great theatrical moments come from the heart, not the brain.
